DIY Painted Bottles

I’m sure a lot of you have empty bottles lying around your house like beer and wine bottles, jams jars or even unwanted mason jars. (If you don’t have any, check your kitchen for almost empty supply of patistoyo, olive oil, oyster sauce and other condiments in bottles. Grab them quick before Mang Magbobote gets to make some bucks out of your junk.) Please think twice about throwing them away because here are a few ideas on how to give them some love after they served you well.

1. Paint them white and use them as your everyday centerpiece. Then using the white bottles as your clean canvas, you can also draw simple patterns using your good ol’ black marker for an avante grade effect. Creative Jewish Mom has all the tips for this super easy DIY project.

2. Of course, you are not limited to white. Any color can do. Sky is the limit!

DIY Colored Glass Bottles

Painted Glass Bottles (I wish I could find such pretty bottles with floral details too *envy*)

I will do this soon and I’ll show you what I came up with. I need vases anyway. I’d love to see your work too (so I can steal your ideas, kidding!) so feel free to drop me an email or anything. :)

Hi Jordan, you can click the link on the last image (the green bottles). By Wilma has some great tips on how to make your paint stick on the bottle. Basically, your bottles should be thoroughly clean, no fats/oils left.
