Again, it’s 2014 already! I cannot believe that I haven’t written a single post since the end of October. I thought I would have more than enough time to give my blog some TLC since Kenya would be sleeping most of the time. But unexpectedly, projects started coming in. I don’t myself that I wouldn’t start working until January but I couldn’t turn down my beloved long time clients. Kenya’s also exclusively breastfed so I have to be available to her every couple of hours.
Anyway, like most people do during the start of the year, I have a simple resolution…
I have to admit that even though I don’t have extremely unhealthy habits, I don’t exert enough effort though to eat clean. I love sweets and I love eating out and trying out whatever pleases me, never minding the calories or the fat contents. I try to exercise but I lack commitment. I’m turning 32 this year and I know I have to really start seriously taking care of myself if I wanted to stay drug-free for the rest of my life. Most importantly, I want Bryce and Kenya to have a solid foundation on healthy living– eating lots of veggies and fruits, staying away from fatty foods and keeping active (especially now that most kids spend their play time in front of the computer.)
I know that this healthy lifestyle will help me have more energy to do the things I need to do like taking care of the kids, being more productive at work and of course, time for my DIY projects!
Cheers to 2014!
