Okay, so this is still about the condo I designed. Let me reiterate that the budget to furnish this unit was so limited. Just to have a slight idea, it was less than P150k for everything. That included all the furniture, fixtures, paint, decors, woodworks, labor, etc. The budget excluded the appliances, of course. But I’m quite proud to say that I was able to do it. Unfortunately, the other bedroom is still bare because we’re still thinking whether to turn it into another bedroom or a walk-in closet.
Anyway, this bathroom has the least budget. The only things I did here were: add shelves on that alcove on the right; repaint the walls and install a huge mirror. I still need to hang an art work on the bare wall above the toilet bowl and add a ladder shelf behind the door for extra storage (next to the bowl where the washing machine should be.) One of these days, I will. 🙂
I also had a huge wooden tray fitted under the sink where it will eventually be filled with pebbles just like the shower curtain. Again, one of these days. Hehe!
Since this bathroom has no built-in cabinets and the budget could only afford those three shelves, I bought cute seagrass baskets from Rustan’s to hide all those messy looking toiletries. (These baskets are also available at Crossings Deparment Store and Greenhills shopping Center.) Before the baskets were bought, there was almost no space left on the countertop. With these baskets, you can maximize the tiny storage space and of course, sort the toiletries according to needs. Being a bad blogger, I forgot to take a pic of the unorganized “before”. 🙁
The mirror was bought from the glass supplier who did the dining room walls (costs us only P2,500). The frame was just 1×2″ KD wood, painted with chocolate brown enamel. The shelves on the alcove were done using the method I used for Bryce’s floating shelves. So I think the overall expenses for the bathroom was more or less P5,000. (Next time, I really will watch my figures. I’m too lazy to document the numbers. :()
My other cheap finds are these: tall white vase (P199); soap dispenser (P30); ceramic soap holder (P19); small vase white/yellow (P49); yellow vase on top shelf (P99); all bought from Uniwide Warehouse.
